Dean Abbott

Dean Abbott specializes in the design of urban parks, plazas, and streetscapes. Abbott has had a large influence on the shaping of New York City’s waterfront, having worked on South Street Seaport, Battery Park, Battery Park City, and The Westway. Locally, Abbott designed the interior water garden in the Fifth and Marquette Building Skyway, the courtyard for St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester and created the conceptual design for the proposed Avenue of the Arts along 3rd Avenue from downtown Minneapolis to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
