Lance Neckar

Professor Lance Neckar is, with Professor David Pitt, the co-editor of Landscape Journal, the North American academic journal of the field. His most recent applied research has focused on transportation, integrative infrastructure and urban design. Neckar was the principal investigator and lead author of the Transportation section of the Minnesota State Conservation Plan for the Legislative and Citizens Commission on Minnesota Resources. Neckar was also a co-Principal Investigator for Moving Communities Forward, a multidisciplinary investigation of metrics and best design practices for transportation projects and community enhancement sponsored by the American Institute of Architects and managed by the Center for Transportation Studies.
He also retains his research and teaching interests in the history and theory of landscape architecture.
